UK-based scenery developer Pilot Plus has announced that their next airport will be London Southend Airport (EGMC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Posted on their blog website, the team said they are “excited for you to immerse [yourselves] n one of the United Kingdom’s busiest and varied aviation hubs.”
London Southend Airport, located in the East of England, is home to Ryanair and WizzAir with various routes to parts of Europe. The short runway makes it a fun challenge for anyone looking to take off on a longer route. In addition, the airport also handles various cargo traffic and has a history with one of the last remaining Avro Vulcan’s housed at the airport.
Specific details on the product itself were left out of the post, but a variety of renders for some of the assets included were shared. This includes static aircraft, ground service equipment and a detailed look at some of the terminal buildings and the air traffic control tower. You can view even more on their blog.
More information will be coming in the near future. It was confirmed that Pilot Plus’ London Southend Airport will come to Microsoft Flight Simulator via the Marketplace, OrbxDirect and also the Pilot Plus store.
